A heritage lifestyle brand rooted in the lost floral history of Rhinebeck.

Rhinebeck Violet celebrates the quiet beauty of country houses, garden tables, old china, linen, poetry, and flowers gathered through the seasons.

At the center of the story are violets and violas—once part of Rhinebeck’s remarkable floral legacy—surrounded by the roses, peonies, lilacs, hydrangeas, and other heritage blooms that shape life in the Hudson Valley.

The Story

Once, Rhinebeck was known for violets.

At the turn of the last century, Rhinebeck and the surrounding Hudson Valley were associated with a thriving violet-growing industry. Glasshouses, gardens, growers, and florists helped carry these delicate flowers from local soil to markets far beyond the village.

Today, much of that history has faded from view. Rhinebeck Violet was created to bring the story back into the light—through flowers, objects, writing, gatherings, and a renewed attention to the beauty of place.

“Rhinebeck was once called the Violet Capital of the World.”

We are helping that story bloom again.

Seasonal Life

Violets are the beginning. The garden is the world.

Rhinebeck Violet begins with the story of violets and violas, but it opens into a wider life of flowers, tables, linens, old houses, and gardens gathered through the seasons.

Roses, peonies, lilacs, hydrangeas, foxgloves, and herbs all belong to the atmosphere we are creating—a slower, more beautiful way of living rooted in the Hudson Valley.
